Heyas,
I was wondering if you guys could give me some tweaks or tips to boost my connection speed and lower my latency with a Agere/Lucent 56k Modem. I have been getting steady connections of 28.8k-37.1k; not close to what I should be connecting at: 40k-48k. I average about 3.4 Kbps downloading and not sure what uploading. I have CableNut installed (v. 4.08 ),and maybe you can give me some good settings for it. I have the latest modem driver installed (8.30). Thanks!

I don't think your going to get anything better then that 5k just sucks and its slow.  When I have to use 56k here the mazi get is 36k and I think thats because of how far i am from the tele line thing place area, and I think that makes it slower. I dunno just a bored moron rambaling.

s1 has a backwards modem lol. The usual 5/3 compared to his 2/5  Laughing .

Ive had dialup for a few years and upgrading was one of the best things ive done. I was paying $10 for it, but the most popular ISP here in NY costs $23.95, and i pay $29.99 for dsl (1.5/384) lol
