This is my speed for B/band, am wondering how com every1's is so much higer, i must hav crappy connection....

Your connection is: 389 Kbps      (about 0.4 Mbps)
You downloaded at: 47 kB/s
Your TRuSPEED™: ^info^ 436 Kbps :: 53 kB/s (12% overhead factored)
Bottom Line: You are running: 7 times faster than 56K and can download 1 megabyte in 21.79 second(s)

hey banana and welcome to the forum Smile

i see your from australia, the testserver here is located in Dallas Texas, so its kinda far away from where you live.

If your advertised speed is 512 Kbps downstream is say this is a normal score.

Make a tracert to testmy.net or ping it.

banana you have some hevy ping problems, 390 ms to your first hop

Try power cycle your modem and do another tracert, if your ping to this hop "  1   507 ms   390 ms   321 ms  211.26.185.1" is above 30 ms call your ISP and complain.

What type of connection to the internet do you have? Is it via phonelines, you need a modem, is it via cable tv you need a modem.

Do you have a antenna on your house for internet?

Power cycle that modem, leave it off for 30 seconds and make a new tracert against testmy.net and post result again
