I was getting around 2.9-3.2 here while testing, and after I changed my RWIN values from 128480 to 54240, I'm getting speeds of 3.6-3.7, even on the 12 MB test.  That's really strange.

::::::::::.. Download Stats ..::::::::::
Connection is:: 3682 Kbps about 3.7 Mbps (tested with 1496 KB)
Download Speed is:: 449 kB/s
Tested From:: http://www.testmy.net/
Bottom Line:: 66 times faster than 56K you can download 1MB in 2.28 second(s)

yea smile  Very Happy

There is no way to tell what best RWIN is, calculating it is the best way to go, 128480 usally work good in that range, this is why i dont like TCP Optimizer, it has fixed RWIN values no matter what bandwidth you got.

did you turn off windows scaling when you changed RWIN?

quote from my guide "If your calculated RWIN is above 65535, you need to set Tcp13230pts to 1."

so you should set it to 0 now.

Just tried it.  But, it's making pages take longer to get to.  I set it to windows default, and I'm getting about 3.4-3.5 now.

Also, when using the same RWIN values for vanburen's new cablenut settings, I get about 3.1 Mbps.  With the old cablenut settings, I'm getting 3.7.

I have been playin around with my RWIN settings and with VanBuren's new settings I get 4.1 but when I use the old I get 5.1. Smile  That's with no cache as I cleaned them out before I rebooted each time.   Smile  The settings that I used are : 64240 for my RWIN  Smile

 Smile Thats the value I have always used but if I try using a tweak tool it always suggest that I raise my RWIN up to as much as 256,960 but is actualy makes my connection slower. All computers and connections work a little different, thats why its important to test different values and see what works best for you..I also always try and keep a good copy of my registry so if need be I can roll back....
