Crap! I just reformatted on of my hardrives without backing up so very important files. Its a fresh windows xp ntfs install, I did quick format. These are memories that I can never get back, so is there any program that can retrieve them for me?

Not that i know of... last time i reformatted, i thought i had everything out and i didnt... many of my screen shots and very important word documents were gone forever... called hp they said i cant revive them.. GONE FOREVER

if they are important enough to you (pricewise) then there is a bunch of data recovery companies out there. a quickformatted drive should be easy pickings for em. they usually can even recover drives recovered from burnt out comps and stuff.
does anyone you know work at cia, nsa or fbi? they can do that on their lunch break...

Hi,

If u plan to do some type of data recovery dont use the disk until data is recovered.

There are also services that'll recover it for you. Might cost ya a bit either way.
