I downloaded the spyware and adware stopper programs and this is what my download speed is.

Connection is:: 1302 Kbps about 1.3 Mbps (tested with 1013 KB)
Download Speed is:: 159 kB/s

Bottom Line:: 23 times faster than 56K you can download 1MB in 6.44 second(s)

I keep my cookies clean. I am on cable modem and they even brought me a booster. What is this tweeking. I want speed. My ICQ downloads so slow. Can someone help me I am new to this whole thing. Thanks in advance.

Ok I followed your directions does this look better or am I still slow by your standerds. I trust your standards because you obviosly know more than I do. I know how to run this thing and that is where it ends. But I learned somethin new today.

We need to know what speed your broadband package is before we know if you're getting what you pay for. If you're getting 90%+ of your advertised speed, you're doing alright.

1. if your parents pay for the connection, ask them.
2. if they don't know or if you pay for it, look up how much the package costs.
3. look up the package on your ISP's website, there should be advertised speeds listed there somewhere.

hey Jenny
You have Bresnan Communications Cable, they offer 2 packages 3 Mbps down or 4 Mbps down.
I think you have 3 Mbps downstream.
When you use cablenut its important to use the right MSS value and customfile.
I suggest you use this file since we dont know your upload cap.
"Cable & DSL 3000 128" its in \Program\Cablenut\VanBurens cablenut settings\WinXP_2K_CABLE_DSL\MSS1460 folder.
