That link doesn't work because of the quote tag after it.

Here's a good link to it:

No tweaks for the DW6000, not even the DW4020, only ones as far as I know that can be tweaked are the DW3000/4000 systems, I think the DW3000 can be.

Best bet would be, do not do anything to the DW6000.

After trying 3,000 different things, I DID find that there are a few things that will help you kick up things when using a DW6000.  In your browser, especially after you run the LCCU Utility, it it will 'uncheck' both boxes for proxy settings.  I'll run 200Kbps faster if I 'check' those two boxes, and then under LAN settings use 192.168.0.1 Port 87.  An MTU of 1500 works best for me (all of DirecWay uses 1500 for that matter), and a WELL POINTED dish works wonders.  I'm using a .98m dish and have found that 'fractions-of-an-inch' can make amazing speed differences.  I first got my signal as high as possible, then made VERY minor adjustments while someone inside kept running speed tests.  Over the course of several days we were able to get it "fine-tuned" so that I'm satisfied there is nothing more that can be done on my end.

I also found out that if you "suspend" your charge card then write a heat letter to DirecWay, your speeds will suddenly go up and stay there about three days after they realise you don't intend to pay them!  heheh..

Supposedly I am running their best commercial system yet the fastest I have ever seen this thing do is 1088mpbs ...usually I am just under 1,000 'down'  (the 'up' can be most anything ...that depends on what's happening at NOC I suppose).

*Make sure you have the latest drivers for your Ethernet Card too ...that made a diff for me, not much ..but every little bit helps!

Cheers!

Ha!  I upgraded from a perfectly good DW4000 with a small dish to a .98m dish and DW6000 Commercial System and Plan (DirecWay's finest and fastest).  It cost about $1,300USD up front and it's $129.99 per month.  My speeds went up by (perhaps) 200Kbps.  My SS went up to a 97, yet that has nothing at all do with speed, and as far as service goes, it is now far worse than if I had just left everything alone.

You can "tweak" a DW4000 ...so perhaps getting your hands on a .98m dish and aiming it in yourself would be well worth the time ...but for sure I wouldn't recommend buying into their "latest and greatest" system UNLESS you go through a dealer who will give a 100% Money Back Guarantee!  (It is those type of users that haven't been screwed into the ground ...based upon my personal experiences).

Hope this helps ya!

Cheers

My signal has improved back to semi normal;) the last couple of days. These guys have problems and they never ever let you or their India indians who answer the tech help call know so they can be intelligent when you call. I was running about 89 to 125 after 1100 to 1500 most of the time. Called em and got chit and finally it's back to semi normal today.........sooooooooooooooo they had probs again they weren't spilling the beans on. Try again

I'm not amazed at what you say about DWay.  At best, they bite and lie and ...tell anything except the truth about whatz happening under their roofs.  However, I wasn't aware that it was possible to achieve a Signal Strength of greater than 100!  That'll give me something to play around with over the next two weeks or so.  (evil grin)

Shoot, if you are running 1100-1500 most times, those are "dream speeds" for me ....and this is supposed to be their fastest setup.  What it turned out to be was a semi-expensive lie, and I fully intend to get myself out of it since I got myself into it.  But, the wheels of the law move slowly ....and so I wait with baited breath to nail the suckers.  lol...

Your connection does not need more tweaking. But your copy'n'paste ability could use an upgrade.
