Net Zero is one of the better dialup isps though. Better than aol atleast.

Was on dialup for about 2 hours this morning while I formatted and reinstalled XP Pro on my host/server, had some major problems with it.

Thats fast compared to what I was getting, around 18/21, I am a cheap SOB so I got dialup from access4less at 4.95 a month and not 5.95.

Back on satellite and all is well again, so far.

I am having flashbacks of aohell 2.5....& their uber-annoying 10 minute idle boot policy....and yes, 30 minute mp3 download times...
Steve Case got his just rewards this year. The board of directors booted his arse out of the failing company. Looks like it is 56k time again for Stevie-boy~!

Intolerably slow, aol is the master of bottlenecked & saturated access lines...In fact, aol "Optimised" in reality has nothing to do with line speeds (most of the internet-illiterate loyalists on aol say it DOES)...Optimised for data mining, url tracking & usage stats smuggled through that blazing PoP connection & into the hallowed halls of Reston, Virginia is what they forgot to mention....
I think i will hook up the old phone line one boring saturday & get a good laugh (only for a few minutes)~!~!
