Bottom Line:: 23X faster than 56K 1MB download in 6.61 sec
Diagnosis: May need help : running at only 49.21 % of your hosts average (swbell.net)

I ran the test 5 times with close results.
I am using a 2wire gateway and Linksys Wireless-G PCI Adapter with SpeedBooster

OS: Winblows Xp Media Center Edition SP2

ISP:sbcyahoo dsl Connection Speed:
•  Incoming: 1536 Kbps
•  Outgoing: 384 Kbps

Connection Method:Linksys Wireless-G PCI Adapter with SpeedBooster via isp provided 2wire wireless router (secured) with default settings for both.

No tweek program used windows default settings.

In my connection settings it has Microsoft TCP/IP version 6 besided's the "Client for Microsoft Networks" and "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)." "File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks."

Also I scan for viruses/spyware/trogens daily

Hey It is me I hope the stats I posted are good enough to find help. I downloaded cablenut and VanBurens cablenut settings Version 2 but there are so many files I have no clue what to try.

I would suggest that you can probably gain some speed by using cablenut.

Get the program at www.cablenut.com

Then use the Cable & Dsl 1500 custom file found in Van Buren's Cablenut Settings v8



It is also possible that you may need to optimize your wireless network.  Read about factors affecting wireless network performance HERE.



Furthermore, you can visit the website of the vendor of your wireless adapter to download the most recent drivers.  Try HERE.



As it is always a good idea to use multiple virus scans to ensure that you are properly protecting your PC, try this online scan: www.ewido.net/en/onlinescan
