My upload speed sucks because i have a phone that makes it slower.. its hard to explain, but i'd have to uplug the phone, but i need it too (Its an answering machine...)

If your download is better, then why hate me? Its not going higher anytime soon. I mean my phone line can barely handle my service lol. And besides, dsl doesnt go that much faster.

lol because i couldnt care any less about download. Id be very happy with 1.5 down on a good day. I want a better upload =(

hey guys i have a problem u see i have a 1.5/384 connection and i dont even get half of it i am happy with my upload its over 300 but my download sucks ass i dosent go over 600 can u all tell me what is the problem oh my isp provider is SBC Yahoo Dsl and have that 2wire modem thingi which i hate well tell me if u have something for me

Unplug your phone devices, and connect your modem directly to the telephone jack. Go back to testmy.net and test your inernet. If its where its supposed to be, its a phone screwing everything up. Then plug each device in one by one, and reboot your modem every time you do it and see if your speed drops. Then just eliminate the device thats causing the problem, or buy a new phone.

If its not that, then maybe your phone line is too long. Im talking about the one from your modem to the phone. Its supposed to be under 14 feet.

EDIT: Sorry, if you live in NY you get 5/384, but its still $44.95 as compared to Verizon 3/768 for $29.99
