I have WinXP with Cox advertised at 4 down and 512 up. I
I just downloaded cablenut and used the cable_fast_2k tweak. My speed didnt change much from that.

::::::::::.. Download Stats ..::::::::::
Connection is:: 1493 Kbps about 1.5 Mbps (tested with 1013 KB)
Download Speed is:: 182 kB/s
Tested From:: http://www.testmy.net/
Bottom Line:: 27 times faster than 56K you can download 1MB in 5.63 second(s)
Validation Link:: http://testmy.net/cgi-bin/get.cgi?Test_ID=B5FS0FQ7M

::::::::::.. Upload Stats ..::::::::::
Connection is: 516 Kbps about 0.5 Mbps (tested with 748 KB)
Upload Speed is: 63 kB/s
Tested From:: http://www.testmy.net/
Bottom Line: 9 times faster than 56K you can upload 1MB in 16.25 second(s)
Validation Link :: http://testmy.net/cgi-bin/get.cgi?Test_ID=5H4W8430N

I have a clean cache and no adware/spyware or viruses.

PLEASE help me make my connection go faster. It seems like I am way below what i should be at.

Download this settings i made http://www.testmy.net/forumz/download.php?id=177

extract it to your cablenut folder

open cablenut, click delete cablenut tweaks+ save to registry, in top left corner click file, load custom settings file, browse to C:\Program\Cablenut\VanBurens cablenut settings\WinXP_2K_CABLE_DSL\MSS1460

click on 4000 512 file and click save to registry again

now reboot and post speed again

good luck

Hi dyslexic,
Make sure your prefetch folder is cleaned out too or that will slow you down too. This is what I did with cablenut. I picked the one with 5000/768 and then I've been playin around with the RWIN and the DefaultSend Window and this is what I get pretty much on a regular basics.  So you may want to try that.  BTW: I'm also with Cox and the same package as you..
