i dont think there is a way to recover the WEP key... Once entered it is encriped into the registry and can not be retrieved... Rolling Eyes

If you are dealing with a WEP generated with DLINK  ....called their 24/7 number and they can tell you how to 'wipe' it from your registry.  (They helped me when I was playing with wireless a few years back ...and I remember it was just a matter of deleting a key in the "reg" ...I think).

1-877-453-5465 for 24/7 DLINK

WEP has three levels (or more):
64-bit = 10 digits
128-bit = 26 digits
256-bit = 52 digits

*Add that to your Book of Worthless Knowledge (along with mine)!  heheh....

Smile I am almost certain we removed this from my friends laptop and reinstalled to solve this problem....I have sent an email to him to see if he remembers exactly how we did this, It is true that it is encrypted but we were not after the password we took it out so we could reload and get a new password key generated,I will try and get info and PM you, but that would be my approach is to remove and reinstall and start over. You may want to look for a WEP B.B. and see if anyone else has a suggestion.
