This is crazy.. and I have no explanation for this, but I am sure that FireFox M2 (an optimized FireFox I use) has something to do with it.

Everytime I download my logs in tar format I get a ridiculous transfer rate... for a while I thought it was just that the browser was reporting wrong... but when I noticed tonight when I grabbed a 2GB apache log in a mere 323 seconds I was a little freaked out... just to make sure I didn't fall asleep and my brain was playing tricks on me I tried again (my screenshot you can see that on in progress... only seconds later it was already at 400+MB) ~~ This is NOT something that is in cache... this is a unique apache log that I have NEVER downloaded, this is actually a file that is generated on the fly by my server.

Now, to kinda shed some light on the situation a little, I tried the same file in IE... ran at about 600+ kB/s --- I looked at my transfer from my server and my server didn't send out that much information... also I didn't recieve that much information on the other end....... yet I STILL got a 2GB file sitting on my desktop.... again, this is NOT a file I have EVER downloaded before... and this happens only in M2 and actually happens often with stats and DB back-up... this is not the first time.

I don't know how this happened, it has to do with compression... very insane.  I wish the whole internet would do this Smile

So 2GB / 323 sec is about 6435 kB/sec or 52715 Kbps or about 53 Mbps ~~ beat that score  guys Wink  --- Laughing

I have a question, is Firefox M2 suitable for home users or not?
I was at its site and it said that this M2 build is only suitable for certain processors, etc.
So my question is, can I download and use it, or should I stick with regular V.1?

I know Internet Explorer would do that to me when i was on 56k. I had a host with the Ensim control panel. I download a Backup of my site and it was going at like 300Kbps. The file was around 30Mb big. I was like.. holy f*ck, and I did download it.. I notice that happens whenever the file was an "unknown" size. Its pretty cool.
