Hey , I tested my download speed at www.testmy.net. I got 9536 Kbps or 1164 kB/s (I tested with a 5983 kB file). If you don't believe me you can go to testmy.net and validate the score. http://testmy.net/stats/id-I78W6FC9D ! This email was sent to you by your friend , from a web based form on testmy.net. Go to testmy.net and see if your download speed can come close to 9536 Kbps. Hey, you may even be faster than ... then it will be your turn to brag ;)

Welcome to the fourms, maximo.

Thats not a bad speed at all for an AOL connection, have you tried tweaking?

TKS for your comments.  I haven't tweaked yet...I see so many tweaking tools on the net, but I'm a little reluctant to hav spyware downloaded with them.  Can you suggest anything?  TKS again!

maximo151 welcome to the forum.

if i remember corretly, aol does major caching of everything to make downloads faster, so that may actually not be your real download speed. does anyone else know if that is in fact what they do.

i agree - aol does cache, and their dsl speeds arent realy capable of going that fast :0)

Yes, welcome maximo. Hey, I don't know anyone who still uses AOL. I dropped them at version 3.0. Have they gotten better or something?
