What a nice surprise. Very Happy

Other ISP's in your area may be offering faster speeds, or are planning to do so. Comcast is stepping up to the plate so you'll remain one of their customers.

I haven't been on the Comcast forums in quite a while. I wonder if anything has changed as far as what upgrade they'll be going with for the rest of the nation. Last time I checked, areas without any threatening competition would be getting 10Mb down/1Mb up as their fastest package.

I think that is the case, i always pay my bill ahead of time and i bring it to the local office, which is less than a mile away, but i held up untill the after the due date, and was going to call and haggle a new price based on near by providers speeds and prices, and before i called, i checked my speed and it went from 8.3 to 16-17

i get on average about 24 to 26 most of the time but off peak i can get 30 and i always get atleast 1700 up which is great for $45 a month.  the basic plan for optimum is 2000 up and 15000 down so maybe you should try optimum again for $30 a month promotion deal and keep both to compare it and see which 1 you like best.  you get a few more options with boost which is the package i have so check it out.

16/1 from Comcast, 10/1 (possibly) from Charter, Verizon FiOS, OOL Boost....

WTF, come on Adelphia!  Many people wonder why Adelphia customers are anxious about this takeover with Comcast/Time Warner.  It's because some of us want fast(er) speeds too (amoung other things)  Confused
