That's about the same latency I get in bf2 on 756/256k, but it's as low as 60 in other games.

hi Niccko_tyme
1st of all hello and let me welcome you to the forum if no one has done yet

it looks like you have a wireless ISP

have u ever had pings different from what you are reporting now on your current ISP?

what technology does your ISP use to provide you with internet?
wi-fi? wi-max? microwave? sat dish ?

as far as i know and i am not a specialist i can tell you that with wi-fi and satelitle you will not be able to do anything about those pings, sorry

if you are using microwave or wi-max it is a different story

please elaborate on your set up
thanks

Niccko_tyme welcome to the forum.

any wireless connection in general is not going to be good for gaming. in your case bandwidth is not the problem its because you are on wireless. as much as i hate to say it, there isnt much you can do about your ping times becuase you are on wireless.

if u can beleive this i work for my wireless internet provider and i cannot tell u what type of signal it is as far as microwave or anything else, unless you can tell me by description of our service. We have a butte that has an antenna that shoots out signal it has television and internet. we have to staticly assign private or public ips. we put planar transevers and transever down converters on masts that grab the signal. i talked to our main IT guy and he said he was coming down in a couple weeks to add somthign that will make our pings better, what that is hes doin i have no idea. hope this helps sorry i cant tell you more ive been with the company for 4 months so im still learning
