What about the vid card?
Its has good components.

Oh and as a suggestion:  install windows on the 10k rpm drive and any popular progs/games you play on it too. It will improve the performance alot. Just dont overload it. Use 2nd harddrive as for saving stuff.

i would go for a 3500+ socket 939 that support dualchannel, its almost same money as the 3400+

also if you like a silent case, choose antec sonata silent piano 380W, with acusticpack

I am using the Corsair XMS you have described (4 - 1gig DDR sticks -metal jackets) and can confirm that they never miss a beat and can be overclocked to death without overheating.  But, with my present CPU and MB there is no need for over-clocking anway.

You'll love the combo you have selected.  I don't see any mismatched hardware in the list!  Very nice!  However, if you love quality on your DVD get yourself a Plextor 8x 'high-end' and you'll love it ....any model.  We use 8 of them and not one has ever made a single error on any DVD ...playing or "writing."  Also, I 2nd the motion that VanBurn has suggested.  Those are very quiet 'cans'!

Cheers!

i guess i could shell out few extra $ for the plextor drive.....i know its worth the money, but just didnt really think it would be necessary since liteon does the job too Smile but i might go with plextor this time..........

well....after doing extensive research these last couple of days i decided to go with athlon 64 3500 instead of the 3400 - with that i had to change the motherboard to following: ASUS A8V Deluxe VIA K8T800 Pro Chipset - im sure it will all work out fine Wink

sinceyou sound like your goin for the best of the best...if you wanna stick with corsair..id suggest getting the TWINX PC3200XL.timing's 2-2-2-5 T1
for the video card..get the BFG 6800 ultra.this card comes out of the box already overclocked and still has alot of room for more overclocking.
