Just got DirecWay installed yesterday.  However, when I try to surf. I keep getting the error message below.

TCP Acceleration Problem Detected (Error 802)
Your DirecWay terminal has detected a problem in TCP acceleration. This could be due to a problem in the receive link or in the NOC router or in your terminal's setup. You can reload the web page by clicking on the refresh button to see if the problem persists.
If you are still having problems accessing the web page, check System Status on the System Control Center to get more information

Is there anyway I can fix this or does it have something to do with the revalidation process that is supposed to be going on in the next few days?

Would appreciate any help there is out there.

Hello there chrisgable and welcome to testmy.net!

That is a "new" problem that I have just started receiving questions about since around 5AM today.  I am looking into it, yet for you I would advice that you contact DirecWay Level One Support @ 1-866-347-3292 simply because you have a brand new account and I do NOT see any accounts that were installed yesterday on the Main MDM at all ...so chances are your account has not been fully setup.  What will happen is that they will "retrain" your modem, then reboot it from their end to see if it corrects the problem.

The revalidation process is just to weed out a few glitches in the system AND to detect the unauthorised users of DirecWay services who have managed to "hack" into the system ...essentially stealing from everyone (bandwidth of course).  It should have no effect on your TCP Acceleration unless there is a problem on your Transponder, and at the moment everything is running at 100% ...so please give them a call (be prepared to wait on hold for quite some time!), and if they cannot get you going, please feel free to touch base with me and I'll give it my best shot.

Good luck and Cheers!

LATE ENTRY:  The TCP acceleration state of "Not Operational" typically means the IP Gateway (server at the NOC) at the DirecWay NOC is down. If the IP Gateway is down then your connection to the Internet for all protocols is completely down. The "PEP Statistics" (»www.DirecWaysupport.com/stats/pep/peps..) on the "Advanced DW6000 Advanced Configuration and Statistics" page and the TCP Acceleration status are related to each other. If your TCP Acceleration is "Not Operational" then all of the PEP Backbones under "PEP Statistics" will be down.

You can try to wait it out, or you can call Tech Support to complain.  I apologise for not being able to do a single thing in this particular instance.  You are at the mercy of Tech Support and NOC.
