Adelphia never states anywhere what their basic speed is, so I have nothing to judge my connection by.

This is my speed:

::::::::::.. Download Stats ..::::::::::
Connection is:: 1380 Kbps about 1.4 Mbps (tested with 579 KB)
Download Speed is:: 169 kB/s
Tested From:: http://www.testmy.net/
Bottom Line:: 25 times faster than 56K you can download 1MB in 6.06 second(s)
Validation Link:: http://testmy.net/cgi-bin/get.cgi?Test_ID=8EYZ49B72

Is it slow?

They said up to 2800 Kbps, but my connection is far slower. Any suggestions? I have CableNut already.

Downloading is not the problem, because with my download accelerator, I frequently hit 375-400 kB/sec.

yea that settings wont work.......

try this

download vanburens_cablenut_settings_2versions.zip

you find it here http://testmy.net/forum/index.php?topic=1013.0

unzip vanburens_cablenut_settings_2versions.zip to C:\Program\Cablenut

now open cablenut adjuster, click delete cablenut tweaks + click save to registry, now all fields suppose to be blank

in top left corner click file, click load custom settings file, browse to

C:\Program\Cablenut\vanburens_cablenut_settings_version_2\VanBurens cablenut settings Version 2\WinXP_2K_CABLE_DSL\MSS1460

dubble click on Cable & DSL 3000 256.ccs ( assume upload cap is 256Kbps )

click save to registry

reboot your pc and shut off your modem and router for 30 seconds

and do a new tweaktest and speedtest and post result

Slower or same -- varies. I am doing better on the Toast.net performance though.

that was odd, your setting is in the right range for 3 Mbps,.....
you can try using the Cable & DSL 2000 256.ccs file instead

it has a lower RWIN, and if this dosent bring up your speed, then its a problem with hardware or your ISP net.

follow the steps in my previous post and choose Cable & DSL 2000 256 instead

Edit: also check these steps http://testmy.net/forum/index.php?topic=605.0

::::::::::.. Download Stats ..::::::::::
Connection is:: 2391 Kbps about 2.4 Mbps (tested with 579 KB)
Download Speed is:: 292 kB/s
Tested From:: http://www.testmy.net/
Bottom Line:: 43 times faster than 56K you can download 1MB in 3.51 second(s)
Validation Link:: http://testmy.net/cgi-bin/get.cgi?Test_ID=X72G6EQW9

I'm getting speed from 1100 Kbps - 2500 Kbps

http://ttester.broadbandreports.com/tweak/block:f16d95?service=cable&speed=2800&os=winXP&via=normal

It is not dropping to sub-800 Kbps, so I guess this is the best possible.

yea there is nothing more to tweak, try updating your Networkcard drivers and if you using a router, use latest firmware

also try changing the LAN cable between your modem and router or pc
