Here's what I am able to do tonight, but bear in mind that I have uploads to the new server taking place that I can't shut off, so I am (who knows?) slower than I should be.  I'll do it again when the uploads are clear for a more precise score.

This was done at 1:33AM EST USA   Still downloading/uploading to the new server and yet I am exactly as before.  This means that DirecWay has things half-held down for at least a few of the satellites.  (Consistency is NICE when you can get it).  I think I am about double this if it wasn't for the other actvity....which is steady!  Especially when the upload is a whopping 12KB!!!  LOL  O   M  G!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*There is a rumor of G3C being damaged.  There is nothing official to back up this late-breaking news, but if it comes in by fax, which it will it IS true, I will post it word for word.

Now I like this! I just changed my MTU from 1460 to 1500 & the TCP Recieve Window from 256960 to 513920 just like ccr1958 has his. & it seems to have helped!  Smile

Go figure .....this is with all machines online (four), the server online 'load-balancing' the morning d/l's ...yet I am faster than before by over 100?  lol......That's Dway for ya.  If yu don't like your speed, wait a minute.   "Silence" speed is averaging 344 on this PC.  Also notice that I got a better score yet used a bigger file while having four times the traffic on the WAN!  ARGH!  I need sleep!

Hey there!

G3C is the acronym for Galaxy 3 C  - a satellite.  It is also called 95º by installers and has the following transponders onboard (frequencies)....1307,  1360,  1120,  1420.

It is the least used of all satellites and (I think) the oldest.

Never catch you?  Hmmm......chances are that I may own the server you are sitting on.  Smile heheh.....

Now, is that with a satellite connection?  If not, why are you posting here? If so ...it must be a 4000 or 4020 running a 'heater'.  Otherwise, you are a "land lubber" running copper wire.  We are running signals over 50,000 miles in many cases.  SOOOOOO....if you do the math, our connections are actually superior to yours, but due to the distance, we lose the speed.  (tongue sticking out) Smile~

Is there any special tweaks to improve this test......the regular download test gives me an average connection about 1000 -1500Kbps. I assume the lightning fast DirecWay upload speeds are the culprit?
