Hi,
For those of you who cannot access https websites, please check your Javascript settings and make sure they are 'checked' so that they are enabled. In IE, you to to Tools, Internet Options, then Advanced tab, then scroll down until you reach the area about Java scripting. Perhaps the last windows update turned it off, so turn it back on!
I can't take the credit. A fellow in the Navy in Boloxi, Mississippi just caught me by email and after several tries we stumbled across the setting, or rather, HE nocticed that the Java had been disabled for some unknown reason!
www.sunn.com
is where you go to download the ONLY components available for installing Java into a Windows envrironment.
Cheers!
The Reverend
I will add additional info after I get a chance to check this little puppy out on my own. So, let us give thanks to Tony for this live-saving tip! Hurrah!
Tony just emailed me back with this tip for what fixed his machine up: --->Go under the Internet Tools advanced tab in IE (using XP Home edition) and scroll down to find Microsoft VM and ensure that the Java console enabled (requires restart) & also Java logging enables BOTH should have a check …then restart & try your ”favorite” secure site…should work…did for me…
******Notice that he still has Microsoft's Java (Virutal Machine) in his. The one available from
www.sunn.com
is superior and by legal battle MS had to pull VM off the shelves so to speak because it was ruled that it belonged to
www.sunn.com
(so go with the best)! hint hint hint.....

http://www.sun.com/download/index.jsp?cat=Java%20%26%20Technologies&tab=3&subcat=Java
That's the link and you'll want the file named Java2 Platform, Standard Edition (J2RE) for WIndows ...around or over 15mb download
Gunny, that'll be version 1.4.2 when you hit the next page. Perfect for your machine.
Cheers mate!

You are welcome Cholla. I've had the J2Re runtime environment installed since 'day one' because I once used a SUN Server until it just died. Interesting machines, but I can live without Solaris no problem. heheh... Enjoy that Irfanview. Over the months to come you will find that there is very little that it cannot do. It is an amazing work of Freeware.
Thanks for the "Rating"!

TY Lance for holding this place down in my absence. I can't be two places to once since it requires ALL my resources to "marry" into the new Server. Things will return to normal soon enough. (Nice cut n paste work too)! Dunno how YOU do it, but there are every bit as clean as my methods, so that is great!
Hint: If you have Paint Shop Pro (or anything like it), export your image as a jpg and compress it five times in one pass. The quality will actually go UP (lossless) but the pic will be smaller in kb size. Strange but weird yet true.

*Ah ..I see that you did this when I passed out on the couch! lol.... Sneaking around when I am helpless eh? heheh.....
