Im a computer enginering/ electronic engineering student up here in canada
and i just got my new 10Mbps connection i  average around 6 Mbps on my isp
(cogeco).  When i do speed test(s) and the avaerage around 5-6 if i seen and dl spike at 1.08 MB/S at once for like 3 seconds  but my averarge is around 6 Mbps i m up late when know sole should be online here and still get the same crappy rate i have tweak my connection phone my isp my best guses is that there lieing and iam paying for 10 Mbps and only getting 6 i understand  that there is and ave of 8-25 %  TCP error but that should put me down at 7.5 Mbps my firm ware on my router is updated the only test i hvae not dont is but one of my  puters on the wan connection and then on the lan connection and doing tranfer that way but i was just hopeing some one could help my situation here

my guses are back cableing  iny building Busy hours ( which i bypasses b4 because i am up late)  ot just cogeco is F#@&ing full of S#!t ... sorry for gramer and spellinfg


ps my speed spike when i  was directly connected to the internet not threw my router

i get 6 Mbps off my ISP server and 1 Mbps up

i should average around 8 Mbps i know some web site are allways busy and S#!t

i just wanted to see if any one has the same problem

i had the same problem when i had dsl i had a 4Mbps connection and 0.640 Kbps up
 but my average was 2.8  it should have been atleast 3.8 atmost and 3.2 atleast atleast

if some one here is with cogeco or a cable company  cliaming 10 Mbps please repsond
