I wasn't trying to exclude anyone just trying to get a few other people that test with dial-up to join the forum & post scores.This is my best one today. I'l add a couple more.Two in a row the same speed First one I was not logged in the second one I was. I doing some tweaking & testing this morning  Very Happy  Cholla   Rolling Eyes

The links still aren't putting my user name on the test links but I know I'm logged in or I couldn't modify this post.I can be identified by the computer number & I bet I'm the only one using nts-online .net on a regular basis.If anyone is interested you can go to host stats put in nts-online.net as the host . click on the 256k test a list of tests with that computer number comes up.My user name is not on the same line as this test it is on one of the other tests for this computer number.Personally I beleive all of the test from this ISP are mine I don't know why the computer number changes.

Smile No matter what you have this 56k running as fast as I have ever seen, and thats cool.....  Smile I do wish we could get some other 56k users to post speeds... but I think they are to embarrassed because yours is so fast that it makes them look like theirs is off...... I did post from 2 different 56k a while back and I didn't even come close 2u............ OBTW I'm sure you have seen in your profile setup here that you can turn off avatars and maybe something else which will speed up your browsing because it will have less to load on each page......just a tip for anyone  thats interested.although I haven't tried it.

Hi Microwave: I appreciate the compliment I have tried several tweaks to this system.Some good & some bad & tested till it is working like it is.I'm just saying it took a great deal of patience .As for other 56k dial-ups not posting out of embarrassment because of my scores I'm not so sure about that.I have looked some in the archives & will look some more .I don't think I will find many that were posted before I joined the forum.So I think the 56k dial ups are embarrassed by the really high scores of most of the members with either dsl, cable , or satellite.However all I see from most members is good score to another member when they post no matter what they are using.The three faster systems than 56k vary in the speeds they get also overall cable seems to be the fastest.The higher speed systems are also limited by caps this is usually due to the amout spent for their service.Members just try to get the best their systems will do & are happy to post when they are meeting or exceeding their limit.So I hope some will see that no one is put down for the score they post & post some.As for me I'm kind of hard to embarrass.
