I rebuild the DSL files i had for cablenut, The new settings should work better with SP2

let me know how it works, make sure to use the right MSS value !

run this test if your not sure what you have http://www.dslreports.com/tweaks

look for this  "MSS requested:     1460"

I have done it tons of times and forsure know how to put them back to default. Do I need to download cablenuts?? Would it help if I gave you my speeds before and after?? Feel free to use me as a test case if you wish. Peace.........im out. Oh just for future reference you all feel free to just call me tim. Dont need to use the whole helloimtim. In fact call me whatever you want as long as its not late for supper.... :haha:

Before it bites me in da bottom I should post this as well. Personally I don't believe that there are any tweaks to speed up dsl. I have posted that before. What I am doing is helping a fellow poster with his new settings. Even though it may not help me may help others. Plus if the new settings help speed up my dsl well I guess its time to admit I was wrong and eat some crow.........

hey Tim Smile

what is your Cap up and down?

download cablenut here http://testmy.net/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=1013.0;id=64

install it and unzip the attached file in my first post to C:\Program\Cablenut

open cablenut adjuster, click delete cablenut tweaks and click save to registry

now go to top left corner, click file, click load custom settings file, browse to

C:\Program\Cablenut\vanburens_cablenut_settings_version_DSL\DSL\WinXP_2K\MSS1460

dubbleclick on Cable & DSL 1000 256.ccs ( if that is your cap, 1000 Kbps down and 256 Kbps up )

if you have more then 1500Kbps down, then use the 1500+ files

now you see some values in adjuster, click save to registry again + reboot your pc

now do some speedtest and one more tweaktest
