January 14, 2007, 12:57:47 PM »
Im thinking of getting a shared hosting plan but I do not fully understand what they mean by "shared"...this is the site that offers it and its pretty cheap for some good specs, but will I be able to use that fully or will I share that?

Isnt it all the accounts on one server?
Meaning one server provides the websites for every member on it?

shared hosting is basically where multiple websites are hosted on the same server, as it is not dedicated only to you

No...thats is dedicated to you - what is basically shared is computing power, memory and stuff like that - bandwidth and hard drive space is specifically yours

that amount of bandwidth and hard drive space for that price is awesome......if the host itself is reliable ? ....I honestly don't know
