I have no experiance of DW download accelerator, but acceleration programs use to work the way that you connect and use several streams when downloading and the program build the file when all parts is done.

when you installed it, go to options and uncheck, check for updates at start up so you dont need to click no to a update to Pro version that costs money...

you can also set how many streams you like to use when downloading
