I have been enjoying download speeds of 32kB/sec for my first month of broadband, but recently it has dropped to 15kB/sec, and i have no idea why. I have checked for viruses and any bandwidth hogging programs, but i have come up with nothing.
I have a ADSL connection advertised at 256KB/128KB, with a DSL-302G Modem. I am running Window XP.

I should mention i am from New Zealand....

::::::::::.. Download Stats ..::::::::::
Connection is:: 119 Kbps about 0.1 Mbps (tested with 1013 KB)
Download Speed is:: 15 kB/s
Tested From:: http://www.testmy.net/
Bottom Line:: 2 times faster than 56K you can download 1MB in 68.27 second(s)
Validation Link:: http://testmy.net/cgi-bin/get.cgi?Test_ID=ESGZ8QX5H

::::::::::.. Upload Stats ..::::::::::
Connection is:: 117 Kbps about 0.1 Mbps (tested with 1013 KB)
Upload Speed is:: 14 kB/s
Tested From:: http://www.testmy.net/
Bottom Line:: 2 times faster than 56K you can upload 1MB in 73.14 second(s)
Validation Link:: http://testmy.net/cgi-bin/get.cgi?Test_ID=A2SEDUYKZ

These were done with virus checks and firewalls turned off. Any tips/programs that might help would be greatly appricaited.

download and install cablenut 4.08 http://testmy.net/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=1013.0;id=64 [testmy.net]

download the attached DSL PPPoE 256 128.zip file unzip it to C:\Program\Cablenut

open cablenut adjuster, in top left corner, click file, click load custom settings file, browse to C:\Program\Cablenut and dubbleclick on DSL PPPoE 256 128.ccs file

now you have some values set in adjuster, click save to registry and reboot

make some speedtests and one tweaktest

post result here again

wait i see a problem, you have a MSS of 1460 and a MTU of 1492

what other tweak programs have you used?

download this  http://www.dslreports.com/front/DRTCP021.exe

make sure all settings look like this, MTU should not have any value click save  when done

open cablenut, click delete cablenut tweaks + click save to registry and reboot

shut off your modem and router for 30 seconds, then run a new tweaktest and post result URL adress again
