Hello there Smile
i chanced upon this forum while i was searching the net for ways to increase my download speed.
my ISP's advertised speed is 3000Kbps down and 256Kbps up.
however from speed tests that i've done it's never gone beyond 1600Kbps .
what can i do to reach my maximum download speed?
hope the info below helps.
i got these results using the default windows registry settings.
no tweaking done.
thx for any help.

3. What tweakprograms you already got installed, and run this test http://www.dslreports.com/tweaks [www.dslreports.com]  copy and paste result URL  adress in your post!

5. What speed do you have against www.testmy.net [www.testmy.net] and http://nitro.ucsc.edu/ [nitro.ucsc.edu]  also make a tracert, go to start-run type command and hit enter, type tracert testmy.net and hit enter, right click copy all and paste it in your post.

http://testmy.net/forum/index.php?topic=1774.msg17539#msg17539

check this post, and try to fine tune

i would suggest to try a TcpWindowSize and GlobalMaxTcpWindowsize of 32120

with these values below  65536, you need to set Tcp13230pts to 0 aswell

after change, click save to registry and reboot your pc

also run this http://www.dslreports.com/tweaks

and post result so i can see if tweaks is applyed

should i apply the new values for TcpWindowSize and GlobalMaxTcpWindowsize
and set Tcp13230pts to 0 while still in my current 6000 384 tweak?
or must i first delete all cablenut tweaks and put in the values only for
TcpWindowSize and GlobalMaxTcpWindowsize and set Tcp13230pts to 0?

sorry to be asking too much Smile
im very much a newbie at tweaking.
