Hi all : This is another speed post topic in the spitit of what this site is all about.
To get the fastest speed you can with the equipment & os you have.My system is dial-up so I seldom download better than this. So everyone post your speed here what ever it is.  cool  Cholla  http://www.geocities.com/photosforfriends85/-_I-Can_t-Drive-55_-.html
While you're here why not post the fastest speed you have ever driven a vehicle.
Mine is 140mph in a 1966 Ford Galaxy ( 390 CID) engine .Down the highway when I was younger & didn't know better. Fastest speed i was ever caught doing by a cop 102mph.Once you pay a ticket like this you'll slow down.   ;)

Hi VanBuran: my fastest time on a MC was on a 1970 BSA 650 Lightening.I did not have a speedometor on the bike. But the speed was fast enough It was all I could do to keep the wind from blowing me off the bike.I weigh 190 lbs so it takes a lot of speed to get this much wind force. The BSA was a light MC for its size only 265LBS without the rider of course. Also it didn't have a windsheild or farring to block any wind. The broken  foctory speedometer would have went to 150mph but someone decided to smash it with a hammer before I tried to ride it at top speed.   Cholla

Hey All:

I've got two top speeds.

1) I was SO SO SO lucky several years ago and got to drive a Ferrari  Boxer BB-512 at the test track in Italy.   During that test I was a passenger at 210 MPH  and I got to drive and went 180-190ish....  (I just couldn't keep my foot flat to get to 200+)

2) My highway top speed is 162MPH in the car I have now.  It's a Trans Am WS6 with a bunch of modifications to it.  The engine is now 540HP largely becuase it has a Vortex supercharger..    Smile

I drive the WS6 daily as I just can't get away from it,  I love speed!!!!

Hi Lantom I envy the Ferrari drive.the trans am doesn't sound too bad either .The 1966 Ford 390 above was naturally carbed .I don't know the HP.Had 11 to 1 compression ratio pistons & a mild racing cam made for the street. Bacl then I could get leaded super premium Shell at 110 octane. This gas made a major difference in the performance.I drive a pure stock 4 cyl now.It runs a lot better on the regular unleaded we get now than a HP car. (TOTALLY OFF THE SUBJECT FUN FACT * Some of you may have heard that song as "I can't drive 65" on the radio every now and then... that's because there are two versions.  Sammy Hagar did this in 2001 on the NASCAR album Full Throttle to reflect the new posted limits in most of the US - He originally wrote the song because he was pissed off at the lowering of the speed limits durring the oil crisis of the '70s - (driving 55 was the most fuel efficient btw)  "This is Casey Kasem for the top100, keep reaching for the stars!")
