About 5 minutes ago, after a downloaded a meg file VERY quickly (for my system), I went and checked the speed at testmy.

Here's what I got:

::::::::::.. Download Stats ..::::::::::
Connection is:: 2266 Kbps about 2.3 Mbps (tested with 579 KB)
Download Speed is:: 277 kB/s
Tested From:: http://www.testmy.net/
Bottom Line:: 40 times faster than 56K you can download 1MB in 3.7 second(s)

Wow. If only it was this fast all the time....

Does anyone consistently get speeds like the above, and if so, HOW?

use the 2992 KB test I bet it will be much slower...even though I have saw some awesome speeds (for DirecWay) with the DW6000 (when I first installed I had 1500 kb then went to around 900 kb avg)

when I do a 579 KB test I get very fast results (aka a burst)

Download Speed is:: 218 kB/s

Bottom Line:: 32 times faster than 56K you can download 1MB in 4.7 second(s)

however  when I try a speed test using the 2992 KB test I get my normal real world speeds

next time try the largest (2992 KB) test it will more accuratly show your true scores.

Wow, even your normal 'real world speeds" are a heck of a lot faster then mine. I usually average about 900-950 Kbps through Internet Explorer.

Any tips?

I'm now on DSL 1500/256 I did have DirecWay just a few months ago and so far I haven't heard of any tweaks for the DW6000 since the software is controlled by DirecWay at the NOC...sorry

im using dway, but my speeds are not even close to each othe when i go to a bigger file
