Ok I'm gonna follow your guidelines

1) Win98SE

2)Videotron High Speed Internet  5.1meg down/768k up

3)A win98 registry tweak from SpeedGuide.net

Not sure if my connection is pppoe or normal or routerpppoe , cause i'm connected to a Dlink Di704p router

Cool Done and set to 100 full duplex since i am connected to a router

11) No Zonealarm ,router has built in firewall

12) I use Tiny personal Firewall

13) AVG ,great program and Done

15) Done, Thx for the great program  Very Happy

16) Have it installed, also downloaded the Vanburens cablenut settings 3, but have not done anything yet till I can get a response from you to know which would be the best settings to use.

hey ArcticWolf and welcome to the forum Smile

since you using Win 98 SE and not win XP /2k i suggest you leave the settings as they are

the win 98 TCP stack do not offer more Sad

btw nice speed dude  Very Happy

Well then Van, thanks for the tips... when I get my other computer back from the shop, then you can help me out,lol. Cause that has WinXP sp1  Very Happy. But I am a lil disappointed in my upload speed up in the other post from testmy.net  ..... should be a lil quicker.

it might be that more and more users are on net

Information: Other network traffic is congesting the link

i think this means that your bandwidth is not "dedicated" so it might change during the hours of the day
