Give it a little time someone will help, in the mean time you need to post your advertised speeds what package you are on . And go here Please read topic and linked topics posted at http://testmy.net/forum/index.php?topic=1013 [testmy.net]

Please contribute any knowledge you may have to the forum. Your tips may help others in the quest for increased throughput. All contributions are greatly appreciated and sometimes rewarded.

i dont have tweak programe
Well if you cant reach 90% of your ISP advertised speed you might have a problem.

Luckely that problem can be fixed in most cases by tweaking your windows registry.

There are alot of tweak programs out on the internet, too bad not all does the job right.

When you need help with tweaking then add these things in your post.

1. What OS are you running, ex win 98, win xp
2. What service do you have, what is the advertised speed for download/upload.
3. What tweakprograms you already got installed, and run this test http://www.dslreports.com/tweaks [www.dslreports.com]  copy and paste result URL  adress in your post!
5. What speed do you have against www.testmy.net [www.testmy.net] and http://nitro.ucsc.edu/ [nitro.ucsc.edu]  also make a tracert, go to start-run type command and hit enter, type tracert testmy.net and hit enter, right click copy all and paste it in your post.
6. Under your LAN connection - properties - general tab, uninstall all the protocols there that you do not need.
7. Open Internet Explorer and select tools - internet options - connections -
LAN settings, make sure nothing there is checked.
8. Connect your modem via ethernet (NIC) and make sure you have the latest drivers for your NIC. Set your NIC duplex mode to 10mb half duplex for Cable, for DSL it depend on the ISP service unless you are using a router, if so then set it to 100mb full duplex for both Cable & DSL. If you are using a router make sure you have the latest firmware.
9. Power cycle your modem, unplug it for atleast 30 seconds.
10. Download and update then do a scan with SpyBot http://beam.to/spybotsd [beam.to] and Ad Aware http://www.lavasoft.com/support/download [www.lavasoft.com] to remove any spyware
11. ZoneAlarm firewall has known problems with dropping speed, i suggest to uninstall it and compare speed
12. Install Outpost Firewall http://www.agnitum.com [www.agnitum.com]\ or Sygate Firewall http://www.sygate.com/ [www.sygate.com]
13. Scan for viruses with your antivirus app, if you do not have one get one, AVG is great http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_dwnl_free.php [www.grisoft.com]
14. Make sure you have ALL of the latest Windows Updates
15. Download and run CCleaner http://www.ccleaner.com/ [www.ccleaner.com]
16. download and install Cablenut 4.08 and Vanburens cablenut settings version 3 here http://testmy.net/forum/index.php?topic=1013.0 [testmy.net]  unzip settings to C:\Program\Cablenut
