I'm wanting to hook up a 2nd computer to share the internet (dway) and was told by a "tech" that using a hub won't work, and that a cross-over cable wont work either....that I need a router.  I just want to know WHY won't a hub work?

If you have a DW6000, a hub or switch will work fine.  Any other type, and you will still need a hub/switch, and ICS on the host (from what I hear.  I have a DW6000, and have never used the others)
