YO-YO dieting puts your health at risk and leaves you more overweight, a study has found.
US researchers found people typically lose between five per cent and 10 per cent of their weight during the first six months of a diet.
But more than two thirds of fad dieters pile the pounds straight back on, putting themselves in danger of heart attack, stroke and type 2 diabetes.
Researchers from The University of California warn that the strain of losing and gaining weight puts strain on the body
