I'm on Comcast, using the ethernet cable: the the USB cable was only giving me 6 times faster than 56k  lol

the thing is, my girl takes online college, and her's is only Ethernet (almost done with it) and i dont feel like buying a router...so when she does school, we shut off the modem and plug her's in and then she can use it on that PC since its right beside each other.....or else i would  cry cry cry

 ;) Same here I am not a fan of USB modem connections, but he is getting good speed which surprises me, I'll bet with a with a different hook up JustinOhioRR's Box would break the sound barrier....lol or at least go a lot faster  and have better stability IMO Smile

usb cuts speeds ike mad. Even usb2 is still nothing compared to ethernet card. If you dont have an extra pci slot for the ethernet card, take out the dialup modem!  If you cant afford a ethernet card, thik again! $3.00 on newegg!  evil6

I have the Earthlink Standard Cable package, my isp is mindspring.com.

I am using 10/100 Ethernet w/ a cable modem.

I pay 26.95 for the 1st 6 months then 49.95 per month after that....I think now it is 19.95 for the 1st 3 months then 49.95 after that.  I have been very satified w/ the service it has great speeds and isnt over priced.
