I know this is probably a dumb ? but... When i am running Azureus or creating a larger .rar file and leave my computer for a while and come back it has shut off and somehow overheated is there any way to fix this or do i just need a better computer

Get some caned air.. blow it into the heat sink to dislodge the dust that has caked it.

Be sure to hold the canned air the right way and not upside down...i found that out the hard way on an old pc  uglystupid2

I used to have the same problem. It was do to overheating. Do what Swimmer said and that should clear up the problem.
