well , hi im new to this testmy.net and i just tested my cable for the speed.

::::::::::.. Download Stats ..::::::::::
Connection is:: 3153 Kbps about 3.2 Mbps (tested with 748 KB)
Download Speed is:: 385 kB/s
Tested From:: http://www.testmy.net/
Test Time:: Fri Jan 28th 2005 9:54 AM GMT
Bottom Line:: 56X faster than 56K 1MB download in 2.66 sec
Validation Link:: http://testmy.net/cgi-bin/get.cgi?Test_ID=CINUQYT4A

Im new and im not too sure if this is a good speed for .com.sg ( singapore )
does anyone think i should tweak it with the cablenut settings for better results ? will it slow me down if the settings is wrongly done ?

 Welcome.  Very Happy

Tweaking can't hurt.

What speed does your ISP advertise? Your speed should be around ninety percent and up, from what your company advertises. Anything lower, than some tweaking can be done to improve speed.

 Yea, your connection should be almost double what you're getting.  Neutral

Install the cablenut files http://testmy.net/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=1013.0;id=64

Aswell as these settings http://testmy.net/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=1013.0;id=101

 Unzip the settings to C:\Program\Cablenut after installing cablenut.

 Open up Cablenut Adjuster, and click Load Custom Setting File, in the file section at the top.

browse to C:\Program\Cablenut\vanburens_cablenut_settings_version_2\VanBurens cablenut settings Version 2\WinXP_2K_CABLE_DSL\MSS1460

Double click on Cable & DSL 5000 768

Click save to registry, and restart your PC.

Try the test again, and post results.

you have some re transmissions so the route is probl not the best, but try this

download this attached file, unzip it to C:\Program\Cablenut

open cablenut, in top left corner, click file, click load custom setting, browse to C:\Program\Cablenut and dubble click on the file you unzipped

now click save to registry and reboot, also reboot modem for 30 seconds

make a new tweaktest and post result URL, and make a speedtest up and down

good luck
