I ran the tweak test, and the results are here  http://ttester.broadbandreports.com/tweak/block:5306108?service=cable&speed=5000&os=winXP&via=normal
results from testmy.net are

And also heres the latest tweak test  http://ttester.broadbandreports.com/tweak/block:3004b7b?service=cable&speed=5000&os=winXP&via=normal

So now I admit I am a little bit confused....Why did it slow down so much, and why am I no where near the advertised speeds?
Im using a Linksys modem (model BEFCMU10) and router (model BEFW11S4), but dont know if it is set up for (or how to change it to) 100mb full duplex.
Over the last few days, I've typically had connection speeds around 1.5Kbps for down, and 60 or 700 Kbps up.
What is up, and where do I go from here?

hey Jack and welcome to the forum Smile

those scores are ugly on that package, and i dont think its a tweak issue

do like this

open cablenut, click delete cablenut tweaks and click save to registry

now reboot your pc, also reboot your modem leave it off for 30 full seconds.

also reboot your router

now make a new speedtest, and a tweaktest and post result

do you have a router installed?

If so, by pass it and connect your pc directly to modem, also reboot your cablemodem for 30 seconds and make a new speedtest both at speakeasy and testmy.net

so umm, now that that is cleared up, were those speeds a function of the router just sucking a lot, or one (some) of my neighbors leeching off of me?  If it isn't a function of the router being lame, how can I tell if somebody else is on my wireless network?
and finally, with the speeds I'm seeing now, should I still employ the Cable Nut stuff, or just not bother?

I checked out that link you sent.  Thanks.
For the time being, since my roommates arent on the network anymore, and while I'm checking out some other routers, I'm just gonna keep the modem connected to the computer.
What should I do in the way of tweaking for the time being...?

ninja edit:  I've been checking and rechecking my speed over the last 10 minutes or so without the router and it has been oscillating between 2 and 4 Mbps....so it is not quite as rockstar as it was earlier this afternoon...
