help slow performance i think

i have a 1.1mps with btopenworld i can only get at themost a 0.7mps download speed can any one help me !

bt advertise 1mps so i think thats ok?

yea 90% of your cap is good, cos you need to consider TCP overhead of around 10%

follow these steps
1. What OS are you running, ex win 98, win xp, if you have XP make sure you have SP2 installed! Also download the p2p fix for SP2 here

2. What service do you have, what is the advertised speed for download/upload.
3. What tweakprograms you already got installed, and run this test
http://www.dslreports.com/tweaks
copy and paste result URL adress in your post!
4. What speed do you have against
www.testmy.net
and
http://nitro.ucsc.edu/
also make a tracert, go to start-run type command and hit enter, type tracert testmy.net and hit enter, right click copy all and paste it in your post.

ok i am running xp with sp2 and p2p fix already i have cablenut but think i have the wrong settings the otherthings you asked for i wil do now bare with me

download this file i attach and unzip it to C:\Program\Cablenut
open cablenut, click delete cablenut tweaks and click save to registry
in top left corner click file, click load custom settings file, browse to C:\Program\Cablenut and dubble click on the file you unzipped
now you see new values in adjuster, click save to registry and reboot your pc
