HI, I have Alltel DSL (1.5/384), however, I can only reach 1.0(down) on occasion. I am running Win XP SP2. I have AD-Aware, Spybot that i use daily.  I keep my virus defs up to date as well. I don't know if it is relevent, but I am using a wireless router(to share my connection between my desktop and laptop). I look forward to hearing  some suggestions. Thanks to all...http://ttester.broadbandreports.com/tweak/block:225e164?service=dsl&speed=&os=winXP&via=enternet

you had re transmissions, it might be your router, do a new tweaktest but 1st by pass your router, and reboot your modem for 30 seconds

it might be a issue with the large RWIN you have without router

try this

download and install cablenut 4.08 http://testmy.net/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=1013.0;id=64

download this attached file, unzip it to C:\Program\Cablenut

open cablenut adjuster, in top left corner click file, click load custom settings file, browse to C:\Program\Cablenut and dubbleclick on the file you unzipped

now click save to registry

reboot, also reboot your modem for 30 seconds plug in your router

make a new tweaktest and post result URL and make speedtest again

good luck

I can't seem to be able to copy the stats... the copy button remains gray I tried highlighting all the info to cut/paste, but could not. I ran the tracert, and it reports a couple of lines, then it indicates timing out(over and over). Any ideas?

that was odd, well the trace can timeout if your ISP block ICMP traffic.

sign up here http://www.dslreports.com/tools and make a line quality test and post result here
