not all instance that having a proxy is faster speed for you. proxies are servers right? so they also have their own downtime  oh so nerdly!

i advise you use firefox it has its own proxy changer feature that will not affect your internet connection unlike IE when you change your proxy in IE some programs or application might be affected..

so better use firefox and leave your internet options on default..
