Hi, I have a Linksys Wireless Router and I bought Linksys Internet Camera but I haven't activate it till now. My internet connection is SmartBro. The manual says after I set up the whole system, just type the ip address of my router including its port no. to view the video but it wont't work. Does the ip adress of router and smart bro is the same?
Maybe I'm wrong, but don't you need an instant messenger service in order to use a webcam? What model camera is it?
The IP address of the router can be found in the router's control panel. Open a browser window and type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar and press enter. You will have a user name and password window pop up. Leave the user name blank and enter "admin" (without the quotation marks) as the password. This is the default password for Linksys routers. When the control panel opens, the setup page will be open and you can see your router's IP address.
