A few of my friends have sbc.... And it is really bad! Where are located, form the co? That isnt a bad speed for dsl!!!

Actually my DSL is not hooked through the Central Office. I am routed through a Remote Terminal because I am way too far from my local CO. The only reason they installed the RT is because of these nice $400,00 dollar homes that went up around my neighborhood over the last couple of years. Guess they are good for something because you gotta be a friggin' doctor or lawyer to own one...lol. I actually have never found out how far I am from the RT though. That also has distance variabilities but not quite as strict as being hooked to the CO directly.

I had to be within 7000 feet of the CO to qualify for the package I got (1.5-3 / 384)...DSL from SBC is actually quite good.
