Where I live it costs $45 a month if you have a cable tv subscription.  I personally think that's anit high, so I called them to cancel.  I told them I am going to DSL for $29.00 per month and they offered me their service for that price.  Obviously, I took them up on their offer.

I (well my parents) pay $42.95/mo, which includes the modem rental fee and $15.00 multi-product (internet, Cable) discount.

84.99 for On Demand Digital Platinum Plus(Channels)
54.99 (i think) for high speed internet 4000/384 (actually now is going to 6000/768) which is going to be awesome and it's free whenever they get it on my area
so i pay about $150.00 to $160.00 a month

I have been through 4 modems in the last 4 years, and at $60.00 each, that would have cost me $240.00.  The $3.00 a month I paid for the modem since they began charging separately for it has cost me $144.00 for that same period.

And the manufacturers warranty for Motorola cable modems is 12 months parts and labor, not 3 years.  I'd rather lease it and not have to worry about shipping it off for warranty repair or replacement as long as it is what I consider to be cost effective, not to mention that when I've had to have the ISP replace them, it took only 24 hours or less for me to get a new one.

I pay 10 for basic cable...and then 10 for internet...4Mbps down and 384 up....Im good at negotiating  :haha:

and I also get channels like 2-70 because they have to push through most of the channels to have internet on the line...so just get the LOWEST cable package you can...save a lot of money hehe...  downtown
