Van .....the cap seems to depend on any moment in time that they  (dway)  chooses......I've never heard them admit to anything......in my 3 yrs and hundreds of hours with them.

But I will say my 4000 was way faster than this 6000 crap.  I was usually around 2100 Kbs with it......doing good to see 1000 with this new one....

thanks, i see Rev was up around 1.5 Mbps on the DW 6000 with 2992 KB file

to get a accurate score, the 2992 file is best to use.

have anyone seen a score from a DW 4000 user above 2 Mbps on 2992 KB test?

Vanburen, I was able to get the results below once. Although I have had several in the 1300Kbps range. Most of my test seems to be in the 900'sKbps. I have the consumer account.

::::::::::.. Download Stats ..::::::::::
Connection is:: 1648 Kbps about 1.6 Mbps (tested with 1496 KB)
Download Speed is:: 201 kB/s
Tested From:: http://www.testmy.net/
Bottom Line:: 29 times faster than 56K you can download 1MB in 5.09 second(s)
Validation Link:: http://testmy.net/cgi-bin/get.cgi?Test_ID=6PYVEZKSH

I know this does not help to answer your question, just my experience. I think I had seen somewhere the DW6000 was caped at 1000Kbps. I will look around to see if I can find anything to help you.

ok here is the test version, its many files, try em out

Cablenut cant restore your current settings unless you save your current settings to a certain .ccs file in cablenut.

Cablenut can restore the values to windows default, unlike many other tweak programs, you can use cablenut to clean up certain tweaks.

NOTE: If you have Dr:TCP or TCP Optimizer, make sure to use same MTU value in those programs as the file you loading in cablenut.

good luck and please report back the good and bad

ps: also remember to click save to registry and reboot after you loaded the new settings

Thanks for that Smile

The tweaks i now made and posted was based on a 1500 Kbps cap of DW 6000 and a 2000 Kbps cap for DW4000, i will modify these settings when i get feedback

I updated the files, here is a new version

you will need Cablenut program http://testmy.net/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=1013.0;id=64

install cablenut, download the attached Satellite winXP 2k.zip and unzip it to C:\Program\Cablenut

open cablenut adjuster, if you like to backup your current config, click file in top left corner, click file, click save custom settings file and name it backup.ccs

now click load custom settings file and browse to C:\Program\Cablenut and now you see MTU 1460 and MTU 1500 folders, choose the MTU that you have and test the files in that folder.

just dubbleclick on them and after that click save to registry and reboot, you need to do that each time you load a new setting.

good luck

I used the tcp opitimizer  . It usually stays around this speed ...during "rush hour" it might drop to around 800 or so
its the upload that sucks ass ..most I've had was bout 9   :haha:    wish they had cable out here
