Dway helps me understand why people go postal!
Help! DirecWay HELL!
«

Can ANYONE help me out here? I had DirecWay6000 installed 14 days ago. Since install, I have had NOTHING but problems! I paid nearly 700.00 for something that runs SLOWER than my AOL dial-up at 26k and I can't get DirecWay to do anything but make excuses! Now I know why people go postal!
I have spent HOURS on the phone talking to foreigners who don't understand me, nor do I understand them. .. one of them actually got a little testy with me when I had to keep asking him to repeat himself because I couldn't figure out what the hell he was trying to say! What nerve!! Had I known that I was buying into a company who ships their workload overseas to a bunch of half-english speaking jackasses I KNOW I would have NEVER even considered purchasing this piece of junk!
Anyway.....they FINALLY they put me through to advanced support and after several phone calls with them, they said they would have ENGINEERING contact me. Well, thats been 5 days ago and STILL no call from them.
I would like to take this DirecWay and stick it "where the sun don't shine" up any DirecWay Exec's behind I could! I have NEVER been so disappointed in my life!
I did many of the things listed here on the forum and its STILL no better, if anything its running slower depending on the time of day.
Does ANYONE have any suggestions???? Please email me at
ALLIECATZ@aol.com
. I feel like I might as well have taken that $700.00 I spent on this piece of junk and wiped my behind on it!
And to anyone thinking of purchasing DirecWay for home or business...RUN...as fast as you can in the other direction!! I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy!!!!!!

From what they told me, I will get back the 400.00 for the "equipment" once they receive it back, but I have to eat the 300.00 installation fee...what a rip in the rump!
Anyone know of a GOOD satelite provider for us folks in the boonies??????????

Thats the problem with ALL technology and vertically associated markets nowadays and that is the outsourcing to New Delhi Call Centers. Earthlink is the same way, as most larger companies.
1) If you cannot understand them, demand that you get someone who speaks fluently, they are instructed to pass you on if you do.
2) Most of Level 2 and 3 support is based in Fort Lauderdale and if you can get to them you will be better off. You just have to keep telling Level 1 to elevate the call.
3) Level 2 and 3 like everything else has its good techs and bad techs. I have spoken to both in the past. Make sure you get the 800 callback number and a personal pin number assigned to your case. If they dont call back, you call them.
Oh and get your signature line set up so we can see what you have in your setup, May not correct it but someone may notice a potential problem.
Good luck

What i have seen is that the #1 problem with new dw sat installations and you having slow speed is incorrect cross pol - go to dw advanced do this by going to your dw system control http address then add /fs/advanced/advanced.html to the end of your contro, center address that will bring you to advanced click on setup then antenna pointing (dont check the enable opi) click next then check your signal streght if you want then just click next - that will cause the transmit and system light ot go out (dont freak) and it will run a cross pol test. then click exit when done. if it fails this is your problem - you need to call direc support and tell them cross pol is failing and dish needs to be repointed MANUALLY by your friendly dircway installer. FREE to you for first 15 months i believe. good luck

Hi- First thing you do is never call the Indian level 0! When you get to level 2 &3 be polite but insist on being able to understand the techies! Let them know the level 1 sucks!
always call 1866 819 0165
Use my pin # 298 589 or just make 1 up.
Get to level 2 billing and tell them that it is not, and has never worked as well as your dial up!
1. You need to have your 30 day trial period put on hold until the system works better then your dialup.
2. You need credit for the days between install and when they actually get it to work better then your old dialup.
Get the case # and persons name.
Until they comply with 1 &2 you are untitled to a full refund. every penny! Do not accept any less! You do not have to eat the $300 fee! You used a credit card right? If they do not agree and you want out now just call your credit card co and file a claim.
I would not do the crosspole test unless you are comfortable with it. I have heard that if it fails you may have a bigger problem, dont know.
