Hi ya, Comcast recently upgraded to the 4Mbps speed.  I normally hit 3.3mpbs (sometimes higher, sometimes lower... but that's the avg), however, I recently noticed something.
When i was looking over some forum posts, i saw the pathping command, so i decided to try it out.  The following pathping is NOT the first one i've done, nor is it the one from the day i decided to do it.  It's been about a week and I've done it about 6 times.  Here is the result:

As you can see... I'm getting a bunch of 100/100 on lost/sent... which i don't believe is normal...  Could someone offer an explaination about what's up and/or report this to Comcast?

Ah, i see, so those hops wouldn't have any effect on my speeds?  If that's the case, I guess I can rest easy =P.
Thanks van!

you could try this

ping -n 100 12.119.136.14

and copy result and paste it here, lets see if you loose packets on that node

a node usally block pings or not

i can ping it so its not blocked in the node

yep, i randomly went through the forums and found a user that had the same speed/service as me and found the 4000/386 files attached.  I reconfigured my connection because i was using 4400/386 but just modified a couple settings that were similar to the 4000/xxx file =P.  I'm currently using your 4000/386 file.

you should be able to go closer to 4 Mbps...

do you have a router?, if so bypass it and connect your modem direct via ethernet to your pc

nope, i'm directly connected.  if you wish to know, i have a SB3100D series surfboard modem.
Here's some signal stuff on the modem:
Upstream    Value
Channel ID    1
Frequency    33008000 Hz Ranged
Ranging Service ID    280
Symbol Rate    2.560 Msym/s

Signal to Noise Ratio    34 dB

Network Access Control Object    ON
Power Level    0 dBmV

And i doubt this is important, but i did find something interesting under logs:

The TRC lost sync is something new...

As i've said before, the avg i've been hitting is 3.3Mbps.  Seldomly I'll hit 3.8Mbps, but then it'd go back down.  I live in KY btw.

I've had the same results going to google.  Anyways, should I not worry about the TRC sync?

(I'm heading off for some sleep, so i'll respond in about 2 hours)
