On DSLreports.com..I test my connection at with www.nac.net at it reads   4064 Down/ 354 up

On testmy.net I get 3295 Down 361 up

Ever since I installed my new modem, Motorola SB5100 after I got my new connection capped by Comcast 4000/384, my down speed had dropped, according to testmy.net, but at DSLReports.com, didn't changed and looked fine.... Anyone knows why:?   Rolling Eyes

you might have a better route to nac.net

do your speed change during the day against testmy.net or is it stable no matter time?

No, when I test it at testmy.net, I usually get around 3100-3400 down, but no more than that... Upload seems to be okay though.

hmm my guess is that it isnt as accurate as CA3LE's.. you might have the burst speed figured into the speed..

With my old modem, even at testmy.net I would get 4000Kbps on the download test, but now with my new modem, it's only around 3100-3400Kbps and at DSL reports, it still gets 4000Kbps..

So weird...

what is weird?

thats your faster on a dslr server?

thats very normal!

it depends on alot of things, number of hops, latency, server TCP settings, your TCP settings, Traffic
