Please help me with my internet speed  Sad
says my upload speed i good, but my download speed isn't so hot.

Connection is:: 340 Kbps about 0.3 Mbps (tested with 2992 KB)
Download Speed is:: 41 kB/s
Tested From:: http://www.testmy.net/
Test Time:: Sun Feb 20 2005 20:38:09 GMT-0500 (Eastern Standard Time)
Bottom Line:: 6X faster than 56K 1MB download in 24.98 sec
Diagnosis: May need help : running at only 10.9 % of your hosts average (Comcast.net)

I run Windows XP SP2, I downloaded the P2P fix

My service is Comcast High Speed Internet, ad vertised speed: 4Mbps dowstream, 384Kbps upstream

dern that must be the worst settings i ever seen for a broadband connection  :haha:


download and install Cablenut http://testmy.net/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=1013.0;id=64

download Dr.TCP http://www.dslreports.com/front/DRTCP021.exe

open Dr.Tcp make sure all setting is set to default and all fields MUST be blank, if you see a value, use delete and erase em, now click apply and exit the program

now open cablenut and click dlete cablenut tweaks and click save to registry

reboot your pc, also reboot your modem and router for 30 seconds

now make a new speedtest, use the 2992 KB file downstream and 1496 KB file upstream

also make a new tweaktest and post result
