I just spent an hour and half on the phone with DW support Ugh!!!  The first 45 minutes with someone that reading from a manual and I could hardly understand.  After we tried a few things and he simply got tired of talkin to me.... he put me through to level II.  Finally someone I can understand... and he was from Texas too.  LOL  I explained my situation.... AGAIN.  and he said but 200 kbs is pretty good compared to dialup and well lets just say he got an EAR full!!  I told him that Ijust paid $250 to downgrade.  My Download speeds were well over 1200 and uploads speeds were close to 240 most of the time.... and now I can barely get 200 download.  While we were on the phone he had me perform the sat speed test from myDirecWay...  it was 197down/9up.  He asked me to hold and when he came back I was a little bit more then miffed. lol  I also expressed my concern over my signal strength dropping from 87 to 62.  He assured me (again) that it would have nothing to do with my speeds.  I said no, but it does have something to do with my connection during precipitation.  he asked me to hold again.  This time a superviser came online and I expressed my concerns...... AGAIN.  I told him that I wanted my DW4000 back and they can keep the freakin $250!!!!!  He was very nice and said that he understood my frustrations and that he was gonna put the tech back on the line and he would walk me through changing the transponder I was on... which is what caused the signal strength to drop when we "downgraded".   Well low and behold.... he changed my transponder and look at this............

That is without the treaks!!!!  Gonna go apply the tweaks again and see what happens.    It's not as good as I was...... but its a hell of alot better then an hour ago!!!

Hey Jewelz_tx    I'm not trying to burst your bubble ...but.....tomorrow the same S#!t is gonna happen. Maybe not as low as today...with the new transponder now but it will drop...a lot. At 11:00 EST level 2 support closes...that's when my speed comes back. I wish you the best of luck......but don't loose the ph#. ;)

And remember...the 6000 has a 1meg cap on it.....so that is max...

I average somewhere between 1.5 and 1.8 Mbps and this is only the second time i have seen 2Mbps. I saw 2.2 Mbps once. some people see 2 Mbps alot more often but i have tried all the tweaks posted in the last month and can not seem to get better than my average. I dont know why they are geting better speeds consistantly. but if you cant get 1Mbps there is something deffinatly wrong with your system!!!!!

Hey Mtnfolk....did you ever get much over 1000 when you had your DW6000...???????

wow... reread my own post..... I must have been really mad when I went home for lunch and tested my speeds.  LOL   Sounded kinda harsh.  At leasr I said CRAP and not something else.  lol   I just wish I could get the DW6000 working right.  ohhhhhh but according to them.... it is working fine......  200 downloads is GOOD!!   Like heck they are!!  lol   Not when on the DW4020 I was gettin 1200-1500 and upload was sometimes as high as 240....  this is crap!  lol  Look I am gettin myself all worked up again....... oh I cannot wait to get home and get them on the phone!! 

Mtnfolk.......yea..yea ...yea....I hear ya...........but those A(*&^holes told me they want ANOTHER $300 of MY money to change me back...... ......or it would have been DONE!!!    sorry didn't mean to yell..
