I recently started having some issues with my download speed fluctuating and slowing down alot. I went through all my hardware to reasure the firmware was updated and made sure all was OK on my end. Then I called Insight to inquire of the problem.

They told me it was a problem on there end but told me I have to return call them to be updated on the issue. A coworker lives on the same street and 5 blocks away from me and runs 3.8 to 4 meg all the time. I'm running 1.3 to 1.4  angry5

Do I just have to live with this (paying for cable modem with dsl speed) or is there something else anyone could suggest?

hey speedracer and welcome to the forum Smile

just wait until they fixed it, if they admit its on their end its nothing you can do, ISP´s dosent admit that very often, many times you have to prove its on their end before something happens  Sad

SpeedRacer where do you live? I live in Greenfield Indiana and I am also having trouble. I have had 3 techs out and made numerous phone calls.

3rd tech finally tells me its a timing offset problem. Issue has been going on for about 3 weeks.

I sent this e-mail to them this morning....................

I was just wondering if my issue is being looked into. There are other
people around me with the same issue.

This issue has gotten worse today. The issue is there with or without
my router in the line. The tech that was here yesterday has trace
route print outs showing this. It has gotten much worse today. Its not
always this bad. Its very irratic.

I have had your broadband service about 1.5 years and its been
awesome. This problem has been dragging on now at least 3 weeks, which
is getting me be almost unreasonable. This is clearly an issue on your
end. I really hope you are working to get it resolved soon.

Thank you
